How to reduce paper waste in the logistics processes?

Thinking about how to replace paper labels in logistics processes? Do you want to significantly reduce paper consumption in your warehouse? Get inspired in our new video, where we present the result of one of our customer projects.
The solution includes a picking kitting box made of blue plastic cardboard, which we supply in custom sizes. The box design includes an E-ink tag that displays material and order information. The E-ink tag is protected by a polycarbonate cover. It has a high durability of the whole solution. The return on investment for the project is less than 1 year.


Kitting box

Carboard-plasitc is made using continuous Polypropylene granulate extrusion. Both cover layers are reinforced with central directional ribbing, resembling corrugated cardboard. The ribbing forms long stiff channels in the direction of the production. Thanks to this property, the cardboard-plastic is rigid and flexible at the same time. Cardboard-plastic is also manufactured in various colors, densities, widths and special treatments such as ESD layer to protect the stored product from static electricity.

E-ink tag - Electronic shelf label

Replaces ordinary paper labels. Battery life is approx. 5 years, depending on the frequency of data overwriting. Overwriting of data on the display is done wirelessly based on data changes in the database (60 s interval). Reduce the cost of labeling stock locations, pieces or products. Simplify production processes and make information clearer in one place. The areas for the use of electronic price tags are almost unlimited.
 

In the customer project, an A6 size price tag was used with a diagonal size of 14.732 cm (5.8'').
Dimensions: width: 137.4 mm x height: 108 mm x depth: 14.3 mm.
